Porto Elounda Golf & Spa, Crete

Porto Elounda is a 9-hole pitch-and-putt par-3 course located in Porto Elounda Golf & Spa Resort on Mirabello Bay, on the eastern part of Crete. It is the first modern golf course to open on the island, preceding Crete Golf Club. While the layout is expectedly oriented towards visitors who would like to improve their approach and short-game skills or even be introduced to golfing by a PGA professional which is on duty, it is by no means lacking excitement for intermediate golfers.

The typical hole length of pitch n putt courses rarely exceeds 90 meters, but here the range is 60-160 meters long. The holes can be also played inverse to sum up to a 18-hole round while the family is enjoying first class accommodation services in the resort. Those who stay for longer and wish some additional challenge can easily add a daily excursion to the Crete Golf Club, which stands within an hour’s reach.
